Monstrum: perma-death survival horror game takes to Steam Greenlight, out Q3 2014

Monstrum is a new survival horror title from Team Junkfish that sees players outrunning a mysterious entity on board a derelict freighter. It's now on Steam Greenlight with a view to launching on PC, Q3 2014.

The game doesn't give players a means of fighting back against the force that hunts them. All they can do is run, hide and block its path, which as fans of Amnesia and Outlast will know, makes for a pretty terrifying experience.

To make matters worse the game includes perma-death, three monster types and the ship's lay-out will change each time, meaning that no two play-throughs are the same. To aid your escape you can turn on radios or throw items down stairs to create a distracting noise, but you'll need to also watch out for making noise accidentally. It sounds quite tense.
