Monster Hunter World will cross-over with Final Fantasy 14

Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy 14 and Monster Hunter World will have a shared adventure this summer.

Final Fantasy 14 is one of the best MMORPGs on the market. Monster Hunter World is an action-packed RPG about hunting giant monsters in exotic lands. Now the folks at Square Enix and Capcom have decided these franchises have some overlap, and will bring them together for a special event.

Introduced at the Square Enix E3 presentation, it seems that Final Fantasy 14 and Monster Hunter World will combine for a special event this summer. While the exact details weren't specified in the trailer, it does portray an FF hunting party facing one of the massive creatures from Monster Hunter's bestiary.

Since the trailer only advertises the FF14 website, it's likely this will take place within Final Fantasy 14 instead of Monster Hunter World. And it won't be long before we can experience the content for ourselves. Square Enix's trailer notes the event will go live in Summer 2018.
