Today's Monster Hunter World update is a big one.
Capcom has detailed the first major update for Monster Hunter World on PC following the launch of Iceborne. As previously announced, the update is one of several upcoming that help sync up the PC version with consoles.
Update 11.50.00 brings several big additions to the game. Rajang, the new monster, will be available as part of a Special Assignment for players who finished the Iceborne campaign. Endgame area, the Guiding Lands, will also expand with a new zone: Volcanic Region.
The Resident Evil cross-over event, Raccoon City collaboration, is now available on PC. This limited-time Event Quest is only available to Iceborne owners, and will set you on a path to unlock full armour sets that change your character's look into Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
For this, you'll need materials that only drop from a Blackveil Vaal Hazak, though you should expect some grind until you have enough materials to craft what you need. The event is available February 6 to March 12.
Also available during that period are two quests that let you craft the wining designs of Monster Hunter World's weapon design contest. Those being the Black Eagle Charge Blade, and an armour set for your Palico.
As for live events, the Grand Appreciation Fest will remain until February 13. Later this month, on February 28, both the Holiday Joy Fest (Seliana), and the Winter Star Fest (Astera) will kick off on PC.
