Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - where to find Bathycite Ore, Purecrystal and Large Wyvern Gems
There are all sorts of rare materials to discover in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, but you'll need to be Master Rank in order to find them.
You'll be able to find Bathycite Ore, Purecrystal and Large Wyvern Gems in similar locations around the map, but you'll need to have at least Master Rank 1 unlocked in order to find them.
You can find the items by exploring and slaying monsters, going on expeditions, during Master Rank level quests and in investigations, so here's where to look.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - where to find Bathycite Ore, Purecrystal and Large Wyvern Gems
Bathycite Ore can be found in Mining Sites in the Coral Highlands.
Purecrystal can be found in Blue Mining Outcrops in Wildspire Wastes, Coral Highlands, Rotten Vale and Hoarfrost Reach, though it may not drop every harvest.
You can gather Large Wyvern Gems from slaying large monsters once you've achieved Master Rank. Carving or quest rewards are slightly more likely to drop them, as opposed to farming them as you go along.
The following monsters are more likely to drop Large Wyvern Gems upon slaying them:
- Barroth
- Radobaan
- Jyuratodus
- Tobi-Kadachi
- Paolumu
- Beotodus
- Banbaro
- Lavasioth
- Diablos
- Black Diablos
- Barioth
Large Wyvern Gems can also be melded in Elder Melder's Melting Pot once unlocked but you'll need Celestial Wyverian Prints to do so.
