Monster Hunter World Behemoth gameplay shows what looks like a hard fight
Capcom has showed off gameplay of the Final Fantasy 14 cross-over event with Monster Hunter World.
Gameplay footage of the Behemoth collaboration with Monster Hunter World was revealed over the weekend. It was shown during the Monster Hunter World Hunting Kanshasai Championship Finals 2018 in Japan.
In the video you'll see one of the hunters drawing aggro from Behemoth. This allows others in the group to continue damaging the beast without drawing its attention.
Drawing aggro in MMO's such as WoW, LotRO and others, is a standard move used by tanks. This particular class can take more damage than a ranged or AoE class. Drawing the enemy's attention away from the more squishy classes provides an opportunity to continue dishing out justice. Those who play the Final Fantasy 14 MMO will recognize this as Indemnity.
In Monster Hunter World the Behemoth uses a devastating move called Ecliptic Meteor. The creature calls down a comet which will land on the battlefield. If Behemoth gets close enough to the comet, it will call down meteors from the sky.
The result is instant death to players as the range is massive. The tank's job in this case is to keep the monster away from the comet by holding down Indemnity. Should Behemoth get close enough to the comet, the only way to keep from being destroyed by the Ecliptic Meteor move is to stand behind the comet on the battlefield.

The Monster Hunter World Behemoth event kicks off August 1 at 5pm PT, 8pm ET and on August 2 at 1am BST, 2am CEST.
Along with the Behemoth, players will see Cactuars appear on the battlefield, and earn a new set of Palico equipment. Players can also earn the Drachen armor, the Gae Bolg Insect Glaive, and Dragon Soul Kinsect.
Monster Hunter World will release on PC August 9.
