MLB 14: The Show introduces all-new online franchise mode

MLB 14: The Show brings an all-new feature to the series - an online franchise mode.

GameInformer reports the new mode will be available in both the PlayStation 3 and PS4 versions of the annual sports sim.

Like the existing, offline franchise mode, online franchise mode involves building up your own team through scouting and contracts, but now you can take them to online leagues with customisable schedules and divisional alignments.

When players create an online franchise they become league commissioner, and franchises can be shared with friends.

MLB 14: The Show arrives on PS3 and Vita on April 1, with the PS4 version to follow in May. Still no word on cross-save, but MLB 13: The Show did support this feature and the series is introducing transferrable save files from one annual release to the next.
