Mistwalker working on two new projects, one confirmed for iPhone

Sakaguchi

Mistwalker boss Hironobu Sakaguchi has posted on his blog that the studio is working on two new projects: one of which is for iPhone.

Sakaguchi-san was meant to reveal one of the new games last year; but didn't.

Speaking of the project, he said last May: "I'm putting my heart and soul into this production. I'm taking a full swing and making this the best project."

"We will put our efforts together and do our best!"

The game's control method is to blend "RPG-type strategy and growth."

We're assuming this isn't the iPhone game.

Mistwalker's output has been specifically related to 360 and DS so far, with the studio's initial backing coming from Microsoft in 2004.

The developer's 360 RPGs to date are Blue Dragon (2006 in Japan, mid-2007 in the west) and Lost Odyssey (2007 in Japan, early 2008 elsewhere).
