Minecraft reportedly sells 10,000 units per day

We now know a couple of interesting details about the demographic and sales of Minecraft, thanks to a new report.

Minecraft

In a newly published story in The New York Times, it was revealed that sales of Minecraft are 10,000 units per day.

According to Microsoft, around 40 percent of players are women, with the average player age being between 28 and 29 years old.

The full story offers an interesting take on why Minecraft is the phenomenon that is with children, especially since the game lacks tutorials and other features that would, in theory, be necessary for players of young age to understand its mechanics.

Some parts of the full thing are certainly fascinating, and you should definitely read the full story.
