Minecraft: mini-games coming to Realms subscription service

Minecraft lead developer Jens Bergensten has shown off a new feature coming to the sandbox's family-friendly subscription service: mini-games.

In the clip below, you'll see Jeb demonstrating the feature, which is accessible from the main menu.

The current list of games is FVDisco’s Cake Defense 2, SethBling’s Blocks vs Zombies and Autospleef, Hypixel’s The Walls and Dragnoz’s Dash of Doom, but there are plans for more "later on".

When players exit a mini-game, their Realm will be reset to the state it was in before they left.

Minecraft Realms is a subscription service currently available in Sweden and to MineCon attendees, which allows users to play together on a Mojang server. As the game currently lacks a peer-to-peer option, this makes it possible for families and groups to play together without the need to set up a custom server. The service is expected to be available to other markets soon.
