You need to chill, he needs to travel across Minecraft

Get a bit zen watching one gamer travel across the entire length of a Minecraft world, a feat lasting 17 real world days even in a mine cart.

Twitch streamer JL2579 has set up the journey of a lifetime, pre-generating a minecart track across an entire Minecraft world in order to travel from edge to edge, uninterrupted.

On Mac and PC, Minecraft worlds are really, really huge. The journey of about 30,000 km is more than twice the diameter of the Earth, according to Kotaku. At about 20 m/second, the trip will take 17 days - real time, not in-game day-night cycles.

Details on how JL2579 and his friends set up the journey can be found on the Twitch page in a handy FAQ. Suffice it to say he's unlikely to encounter obstacles or mobs.

As for the point of this epic journey - well, just look at that view.
