Kids can play Minecraft in movie theaters this summer thanks to Super League Gaming

An incentive for children called Super League Gaming will be touring US theaters this summer, allowing kids to congregate and play Minecraft together.

Currently taking over theaters in California, VentureBeat reports the event will expand to 80 Regal, AMC and Cinemark Theaters across 28 cities later this season. iPic, the theater chain which dubs its locations as containing "The Ultimate Movie Experience" is also on board.

Kids from 7-14 can bring along their laptops to participating theaters and play PvP matches using the league's servers and see it all play out on the big screen.

The general league ends on August 28 before a six-week competition starts September 14.
