Minecraft Dungeons Flames of the Nether DLC and free update coming later this month

Minecraft Dungeons players have something to look forward to later this month.

The Flames of the Nether DLC has been announced for Minecraft Dungeons and it takes you on a journey to the Nether.

It features six new missions, new artifacts, weapons, gear, two new skins, and the Baby Ghast pet.

A rather large free update is also coming to the game alongside the DLC. It includes a major new feature called Ancient Hunts, which are procedurally-generated end-game missions that weave in and out of the Nether. Completing the Ancient Hunts and beating the Ancient mobs will earn you Gilded gear. You can also expect some changes to Apocalypse Plus.

You'll also earn Gold, a new currency which you can give to the Piglin merchant in your camp. More details regarding the free update will be provided closer to release.

The free update and the Flames of the Nether DLC are both available on February 24.

Flames of the Nether follows the Howling Peaks DLC, shown in the video above, which was released alongside the Season Pass in December. If you have the Season Pass, you’ll have access to Howling Peaks, Flames of Nether, and two other planned DLC when available.
