Minecraft 1.2 to include tamable ocelots, new AI for skeletons

Mojang has released a new snapshot of changes coming with update 1.2, and it looks as though players will be able to tame ocelots and breed them like the wolves in the game.

The jungle cats will only spawn in forests and can be tamed and multiplied by using fish. You can get a look at the kitty in the video posted below the break (thanks, G4).

Other changes in the works include better AI for the skeletons, who will now run for shade and water when the sun rises.

A new flame item will also be included in the update along with and experience item to creative mode, updated language files, and the usual minor big fixes.

The developer also noted that it will once again try to use an updated version of Java, as the game currently uses and older version of LWJGL. When the firm tried to update to a newer version of the Light-weight Java Game Library last time out, the game became "unplayable for a lot of people," but with version 2.8.3 now available, the firm is going to try adding it again with the release of Minecraft 1.2.

More information on the changes are available through the link.
