MIND: Path to Thalamus announced for Steam, Oculus and Project Morpheus

MIND: Path to Thalamus has been announced by indie developer Carlos Coronado, as a first-person puzzler coming to Steam through Greenlight. A video showing off the lovely game has also been released.

Coronado was the developer behind Warcelona, the Left 4 Dead 2 campaign with over 1,000,000 combined downloads.

Path to Thalamus is the spiritual successor to COMA, an unreleased project led by Coronado. This title employs "many of the assets and mechanics" he conceived for COMA.

The game tasks the player with solving puzzles through a day and night cycle, modified by fog and rain, and the player will also travel in time between seasons.

Changing the environment will advance the gameplay-driven story, and the mechanics are "related to who the protagonist is, what has happened to him and everything he is doing." He is a man trapped in his own mind and he must use the tools at hand in order to return to reality.

MIND: Path to Thalamus will be released on Steam for PC during Q3 2014 and eventually Mac. It is also in development for Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift.

A set of gorgeous screenshots are posted below.
