Microsoft will return to E3 in "milestone year" for Xbox
Microsoft will once again run unopposed at E3.
Just like last year, Microsoft decided to use the opportunity of Sony not participating in E3 to reiterate that its own E3 plans are big.
Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, said on Twitter that the Xbox team will be sharing with fans "what's ahead of us" at E3, adding that meeting and talking to fans is a "special" part of the E3 experience.
Our team is hard at work on E3, we look forward to sharing with all who love to play what's ahead for us. Our artform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox. #XboxE3 #E32020

The news isn't particularly surprising; Microsoft has remained committed to E3 at a time when many other publishers are either hosting their own events, or pulling out entirely.
Every year, Xbox occupies the Microsoft Theatre to unveil something new, and this year it's going to be a better look at the Xbox Series X and - presumably - its games.
