Microsoft Flight Simulator VR support coming first to HP Reverb G2

Microsoft Flight Simulator will feature VR support but it will launch first on the HP Reverb G2.

It was confirmed overnight that Microsoft Flight Simulator would support VR, but it will not come to headsets other than the HP Reverb G2 until a later date.

Microsoft's head of Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann told Eurogamer it will come to other VR headsets, all the common ones, but there is still "work to be done for some of the others...it's just going to take a few more months after that."

The headset, created in collaboration with Microsoft and Valve, is slated to be made available this fall, and the VR update will be free for all owners of the simulation title.

As noted in our Microsoft Flight Simulator preview, the simulation tile also supports TrackIR, a head tracking input device designed for use with gaming and simulation PC titles.

After release, you can expect continued updates such as themed DLC bundles, free world updates, and more.

Microsoft Flight Simulator releases for Windows Store, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Steam on August 18. It is also coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
