Microsoft debunks cheaper Xbox One rumour: "don't believe everything you read"

Xbox One rumours were ten-a-penny last week, thanks to an anonymous tipster who is apparently now being pursued legally by Microsoft. One such claim was that the company is preparing to unveil a new, cheaper Xbox One model or price-cut on the existing model. Chief of Staff Aaron Greenberg has debunked the rumours.

Our own trusted source has confirmed the existence of a new, cheaper Xbox One model for 2014, but Greenberg has since doused the rumours on Twitter:

Michael Pachter also called the concept "dumb, dumb, dumb."

The same tipster that started the rumour also unveiled the existence of Forza Horizon 2 for September 2014, Crackdown 3 for 2016 and Halo 2: Anniversary for November 11.
