MGS4 isn't last Metal Gear, says Payton

Don't get confused. Metal Gear Solid 4 isn't the end of Metal Gear. That's because people will keep buying them, kids, despite the fact Kojima's said this is "the last one" in very obvious terms. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on his part.

“I think there’s been some misconceptions that this is the last Metal Gear,” associate producer Ryan Payton told MTV. “This is really just the last chapter of the saga of the Solid Snake story.”

We interviewed Kojima in London before the release of MGS2 and he was talking about doing something different even then. An RPG, if memory serves. Please let him stop, Konami. Let him make daft Japanese bunnies with numbers over their heads. We'd buy it.
