MGS: Rising producer fearful of GTA-like reaction

Metal Gear Solid: Rising producer Shigenobu Matsuyama has said he's got the "fear" of provoking a GTA-style reaction with the game.

As shown in the first play footage at E3, the title allows you to cut apart human bodies in any possible way.

"What was shocking was a title like Grand Theft Auto," he told Eurogamer.

"I never realised the freedom of any other games. You could go anywhere. You could do anything."

He added:

"It was fun, but at the same time I felt a fear of what the people would do and how they would react.

"When I saw that title I thought, as a creator there was going to be a hell of a lot of risk involved.

"As I create Rising, and going back to the freedom to cut humans, I always have Grand Theft Auto and that shocking feeling in my mind."

Metal Gear Solid: Rising, a sequel to MGS2 and prequel to MGS4, is expected next year for PS3, 360 and PC, and is a part of Konami's TGS line-up this week.

Just in case you didn't see it first time, here's the E3 gameplay clip again.
