Metro 2033 half price on Xbox Live, one week only

Metro 2033, the grim post-apocalyptic shooter from 4A Games is going half price on Xbox Live for one week only starting October 16th. The game's sequel, Metro: Last Light is out in 2013, and is looking rather tasty.

Starting tomorrow, Metro 2033 will cost just £5.49 via Xbox Live. Here's an official blurb from publisher THQ:

Based on the novel of the same name by acclaimed Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky and set in the shattered subway of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Metro 2033 is a story of intense underground survival in which the fate of mankind rests in the player's hands.

The game is founded on a brilliant premise and handles well, although it falls short of greatness on a few counts. Still, it's new, interesting and the sequel is shaping up wonderfully. Check it out if you have some spare pennies.
