Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain PS4 Pro patch released

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been enhanced for PS4 Pro thanks to the latest patch.

Konami confirmed that the PS4 Pro patch is now available for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The publisher said that it increases the resolution, and offers a a more stable frame-rate.

Konami did not say, however, exactly what resolution the game runs at now on PS4 Pro, though it did say that even 1080p TV owners will benefit from the upgrade. Finally, those who have the game's Definitive Edition will see a performance upgrade in Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes.

It's not a bad timing, too, considering the game was free for an entire month on PlayStation Plus. Though the resolution upgrade is nice, I am not sure what Konami is referring to when it talks about improved performance. The original ran at a near locked 60fps.

We'll have to wait for proper analysis of the patch to find out exactly what changed.
