Medievil remake for PS4 gets its first trailer - watch it here

Sony has released the first trailer for its PS4 remake of the classic PS1 title Medievil.

Sir Daniel Fortesque is back in the Medievil remake, and he's going to look rather spiffy after 20 years when he arrives on PS4.

If you are unfamiliar with Medievil, it stars Sir Dan who has been resurrected unwittingly by the evil sorcerer Zarok. The evil-doer had cast a spell over the kingdom of Gallowmere to awaken his undead army in order to steal souls from the living.

In the process, Sir Daniel arose from 100 years of slumber, and uses the opportunity to defeat Zarok once and for all.

Sony announced during PSX 2017 Medievil would be released for PlayStation 4, and instead of a remaster, it's a complete remake.

It's being handled by Sony's International Software Development team in partnership with Other Ocean Interactive.

More information will be provided in "the coming months," said the company.

Medievil will be released on PS4 in 2019.
