Media Create: Vita 3G beat WiFi at Japanese launch

More 3G units of PlayStation Vita were sold at the Japanese launch of the handheld back in December against WiFi models, with sales between the two since getting even.

The statistic came to light via new information from Media Create, which claimed the 3G unit was the more popular in the three week period after the handheld launched before Christmas, although 3G may just be slightly ahead right now.

It comes as it was announced this morning that UK sales of Vita seen the WiFi version outsell the 3G version, with WiFi selling 79% to 3G's 21%.

The device launched in the west last week.
