MechWarrior Online built on CryEngine 3

MechWarrior Online will be built on Crytek's award-winning CryEngine 3. According to a post on the game's website, Piranha Bytes president Russ Bullock believes the tech will allow for "a truly unique AAA experience".

The long-awaited return to a beloved PC gaming franchise was announced at the end of October as a free-to-play MMO mech sim which plays out the series canon in real time conflicts.
