Max Payne 3 Official Soundtrack detailed, new multiplayer trailer releasing tomorrow

Rockstar has announced the Max Payne 3 Official Soundtrack will be available digitally on May 23, which features music from LA-based noise band HEALTH.

The first song of the album, TEARS, will be releases on iTunes May 15 alongside the game's retail launch.

“By using a band instead of a traditional composer, we’ve created a soundtrack that sounds completely unique,” said Ivan Pavlovich, Rockstar soundtrack supervisor. “HEALTH have created hundreds of hours of amazing music for the game’s score, and distilled it into a devastatingly moody and atmospheric soundtrack album.

You can hear the song TEARS in the Max Payne 3 TV spot, and upon release, the soundtrack will also include and exclusive track from São-Paulo-based Brazilian hip-hop artist, Emicida.

DJ mixes heard during the Nightclub chapter of the game were compiled and mixed by Brooklyn-based DJ collective Trouble & Bass, and will be available free as a digital download following the game's release.

The firm also announced that tomorrow around noon EDT, the second video in its special two-part video series unveiling Max Payne 3 multiplayer will be released. It will take a deeper look into Bullet Time online, persistent Multiplayer Crews, powerful Burst abilities and more.

That's something to look forward to on your Thursday then.
