Massive EU FFXIII announcement on Friday [Update]

Update: Square Enix has just confirmed to VG247 that, indeed, there will be an announcement. Regarding advertising the announcement in the UK, the ball will start rolling within the next 24 hours.

"Yes we have an announcement on Friday for Europe also," said a Square rep, when asked if the EU would be getting the same treatment the US is getting.

Promotion is now underway in France and Germany.

CVG has said they will have an exclusive Final Fantasy XIII announcement coming this Friday at 3:30pm GMT. What is it? They didn't say, but four words come to mind.

The. European. Release. Date.

Anyways, this could be in sync with an incoming announcement from the US, if this is any evidence.
