Mass Effect: Andromeda multiplayer looks like an evolution of Mass Effect 3's in new footage

Get a glimpse of Mass Effect: Andromeda's multiplayer mode.

BioWare has yet to officially showcase the multiplayer mode of Mass Effect: Andromeda. However, the developer hosted a limited, closed alpha test on PS4 recently and footage of this build got out.

In the video above, via YouTube channel gamermd83, we get our first look at some multiplayer action. There isn't a huge amount of footage in there, but you can clearly spot the Mass Effect 3 influence on the design.

The gameplay parts in the video are slowed down a bit, so we're able to really appreciate the action. We won't have to wait long for new footage, though, as BioWare is bringing a playable build of the game to PAX East this weekend.

Besides that, the game's EA and Origin Access trial starts next week, and multiplayer will be part of the download.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out starting March 21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
