Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet removed from PSN, Xbox Live

Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet has gone the way of several other Marvel licensed titles recently, in that it is no longer available for purchase through the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.

Boxed copies are probably still available if you hunt hard enough; Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet was released on 3DS, DS and Wii in addition to PS3 and Xbox 360.

As Joystiq points out, Marvel vs Capcom was also removed late last year, which makes it look like the comics publisher has chosen not to renew older licensing deals.

As such, if you're keen on games like Lego Marvel Super Heroes you probably don't want to delay picking them for too many months.

Marvel was purchased by Disney in 2009. We all know what happened to LucasArts post-Disney acquisition; it doesn't seem like a good thing to be a video game connected to a property on the House of Mouse's radar, does it?
