Majora’s Mask 3D makes its number one debut in Japan

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D made its number one debut on the Media Create charts in Japan, moving 230,065 units on day one.

Samurai Warriors 4-II came in second to the 3DS revamp of the lauded title, with 44,000 units sold on PlayStation 3, and in fifth place, the Vita version moved 23,519 units while the PS4 version, the sixth pace entry moved 22,468 units.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Unjust Sin debuted on 3DS. moving 33,270 units, , and Ukiyo no Roushi For PS Vita at 7,000 sales.

Hardware for the February 9-15 period was up across the board, save for Xbox One, with New 3DS LL sales up almost 50% over the prior week.

Thanks to Majora's Mask and continued sales of standing favorites, the system sold 41,821 units compared to 21,650 units the previous period.

The standard version of New 3DS moved 9,584 units compared to 7,916 the prior week.

PlayStation 4 sales hit 21,381 compared to 18,758 units and while other PlayStation hardware saw increased sales, PS4 moved the largest majority of units.

Wii U along with other handhelds and last-gen consoles also saw a boost in sales. Xbox One was the only system to show a decline, moving 191 units compared to 238 the previous week.
