Mafia II preview says GTA IV's "dated" in comparison

A preview for Mafia II in the latest issue of Xbox World 360 has said that the game makes GTA IV seem "dated".

According to the mag (via CVG):

"We were blown away by both the visual fidelity and intricacy of the level design. As Vito, Steve, Joey and troops poured forward to bout the Brylcreemed baddies, GTA IV seemed very dated indeed.

"Individual letters were blown from the sign; windows shattered in astonishing detail, splinters of wood were torn from the building's frame - before a trunkful of Molotovs sent fireballs of flame snarling out from the fiery husk."

The preview states that the world is "less than a third" of Liberty City's size, but apparently a lot more colorful.

It is indeed rather nice to look at, and the cars seems to handle well, even for someone who is quite horrible at games that require driving.

We won't say who that person is, though.

Mafia II is slated for August, and the dev team is looking at making some DLC for it.
