Mad Catz signs Xbox 360 publishing agreement

Peripheral manufacturer Mad Catz has scored a publishing license for the Xbox 360; just another step in its avowed journey to take over the entire games industry.

“The execution of the Xbox 360 Publisher License Agreement marks an important milestone as we pursue our longer term goal of expanding our participation in developing, publishing and distributing games," said CEO Darren Richardson in a press release, as reported by Gamefront.

Although best known for producing accessories, Mad Catz has been involved distribution of games, and recently opened its first development studio, Thunderhawk.

By adding an Xbox 360 license to its myriad charms, it can extend its existing publishing capacities.

Mad Catz, parent company of Tritton and Saitek, has been quite pally with Microsoft of late, signing an agreement to release co-branded peripherals.
