Loop Hero brings in over 500,000 players within a week's time

Loop Hero amassed 500,000 players its first week of availability.

That's up from the 150,000 players reported within Loop Hero's first 24-hours of release.

The game's soundtrack is also the fastest-selling in Devolver Digital history, and players have spent on average playing the game for 12 hours.

To celebrate, developer Four Quarters has released a special series of Steam Trading Cards.

"Thank you all for your support and excitement for Loop Hero from all of us at Four Quarters," said the studio. "Right now we're working on patches with quality-of-life updates you all asked for, including a system for saving during expeditions, new speed settings, and a deck of traits gained from bosses. After that, you can expect to see lots more content added to the game, such as new cards, classes, and transformations. We can’t wait to share more updates with you all soon."

In the old-school adventure game, the Lich has thrown the world into a timeless loop and plunged its inhabitants into never-ending chaos. Here, you will wield an expanding deck of mystical cards to place enemies, buildings, and terrain along each unique expedition loop for the brave hero.

You will also recover and equip powerful loot for each class of hero for their battles and expand the survivors' camp to reinforce each adventure through the loop all the while unlocking new classes, new cards, and guardians on your quest to stop the endless cycle of despair.

If you're just getting started, be sure to check out our Loop Hero guide where we offer tips on playing as the Necromancer, Rogue, and Warrior.
