Looks like the Overwatch holiday event will kick off next week
While we're not sure yet what the holidays will bring with Overwatch, we do know the seasonal event will kick off next week.
That's according to this tweet from the official Overwatch Twitter account.

Back in November, Overwatch data miners found audio files which sounded a bit like a holiday version of the Overwatch theme.
These holiday sounding clips also featured Athena uttering the phrase “now entering the arena” and “challenger” and “gladiator”. It's thought these denote a new mode to play during the holiday event.
Whatever it is Blizzard has in store for Overwatch players, we'll know closer to December 13, possibly later this week. Or tomorrow. You know Blizzard.
