Longtime GTA writer and producer departs Rockstar

Jeffrey "Lazlow" Jones, a longtime producer and writer for the GTA series, has left Rockstar.

Jones is also known for doing voice-work as a fictionalized version of himself for the GTA series. For fans of the series, he is most known for his work on the Integrity 2.0, Chatterbox FM and V-Rock radio stations.

He also worked with the studio on Bully, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2, and others.

The departure was brought to light by GTA YouTuber GTAMen, who upon viewing Lazlow's Linked-In profile, saw he had left Rockstar Games in April 2020 after 20 years with the company.

He is now working on various in-development projects for Disney and Netflix and is also "consulting for a video game company" (thank, IGN).

Earlier this year, Dan Houser also left the company which he co-founded with his brother Sam in 1998.

Sam Houser remains at the company as president.
