Lewie's Weekly Deals: Crysis 2 Limited Edition, Pac Man: Champion Edition DX

Got a few spare quid? Come hither, and I shall tell you how you can stretch just a few meagre coins further than you could have ever imagined. Join me on an adventure into the world of games which are a bit cheaper than what you might have thought they would cost. It's Lewie's Weekly Deals, where all the cool discounted games hang out every Monday. Be sure to regularly check SavyGamer.co.uk, your hub for cheap gaming throughout the week.

Here's this week's selection:

De Blob 2, PS3/Xbox 360 – £22.99 delivered

Student project turned proper game turned sequel, "The Underground" marks the series's first outing on the HD consoles. £23 a pop less than a week after release is the kind of pricing that's normally reserved for utter stinkers, but reviews for this are on the positive side. It's a while since I've played a platformer too...

Crysis 2 [Limited Edition], PC – £23.96

Apply coupon "vatfree".

We're running on borrowed time here, this coupon was supposed to have already expired now, so don't hesitate if you want this deal. Here's the Limited Edition of Crysis 2 for just £24, although the only bonuses you get are in game unlocks and digital tat. Still, this is the cheapest any version of Crysis 2 is available for, with the best price for the standard edition being more than £24 anyway. The coupon works on anything from D2DUK, and this is the best deal I've spotted using it, although you might want to have a poke around their 75% off sale too.

TMNT Smash Up, Wii – £6.84 delivered

The "N" stands for "hero". This is basically a smash-alike but with characters from that 90s cartoon instead of Nintendo characters right? I've not played it, but that sounds pretty Cowabunga/Reaganomics to me. Middling metacritic ranking might be a bit of a turn off, but if you're old enough to have been scared of Shredder at some point, I guess it could be fun.

Play & Charge Kit [Black], Xbox 360 – £9.99 delivered

The cheapest I've seen the official Xbox wireless controller battery pack and wire for in the last year or so. Does exactly what is says on the packaging, it's a battery pack that you can use on Xbox 360 wireless controllers, and a wire that lets you charge from USB. You can even play and charge up your battery at the same time, and you can use a controller without any batteries or battery pack whilst it is plugged in. Certainly more economical than buying AAs all the time.

Deal of the week

Pac Man: Champion Edition DX – 400 MS Points

Gold subscribers only.

I only just picked this up myself this morning, and more fool me for hanging on for a price drop. It's bloody brilliant, and at 400 MS Points (about £2.86 in real money) it's a steal. I don't even like Pac Man classic, so Pac-fans must lap it right up. I'd strongly suggest at least trying the demo if you're on the fence.

Also of note:

Remember to keep your eye on SavyGamer.co.uk for gaming discounts throughout the week, and you can hassle me on Twitter if there’s ever a specific game you’re after for cheap.
