Wireless Xbox 360 controller [Limited Edition Silver] + Play & Charge Kit – £29.99 delivered
When this was discounted to £39.99 the other week I thought that was a good deal, but this is a fantastic deal. You get the shiny controller with the twisty dpad, and a play & charge kit for £30. Now is the time to get another 360 controller if you need one. Anyone had a play with this controller design?
King Kong, PC – £2.50
There's a lot of wandering around in grass, followed by wandering around in caves, followed by wandering around in more grass, but when you get to be King Kong and smash everything, it's a lot of fun. The original PC release of this came with the unpopular Starforce DRM, but it is now available DRM free from GamersGate. There are some nice touches in this film license, and it is quite stylish. Metacritic page here.
Batman: Arkham City, PC – £22.22 delivered
If the new trailer and previews for Arkham City got you all hot and bothered like it did me, you might want to take advantage of this nicely discounted preorder. Hard to imagine you'll see a better price before release, but you can always cancel your preorder if you do. No word on if it will register on Steam yet, but previous releases from Warner Brothers have (FEAR2).
Apply coupon “ASDA5?.
The price just keeps dropping, but Asda are currently winning the race for cheapest 3DS preorder. They're even chucking a free accessory kit. Tesco are still offering the console with any game for £197 if you collect it in store on the day of release, so unless you're after the console on its own, that might be a better deal. I'll be keeping my eye on all the offers that come up before launch, who knows where the next discount could come from...
Deal of the week
Killzone 3 [Stupid Helmet Edition], PS3 – £39.99 delivered
Apply coupon “5OFFHMV40?.
There seems to have been a bit of a cock up on this one. HMV had this at this price yesterday, then it went out of stock, then it went back in stock, but now it is showing as £49.99 when you add it to your basket. Total with the coupon is now £44.99, even though the page implies it should be that before the coupon. I've emailed HMV, so hopefully it should get fixed, but even at £45 it is a pretty great deal, if you're into that sort of thing.
Also of note:
- Assassins Creed II, PS3 – £6.99 delivered
- Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, PC – £4.98
- Far Cry 2, PC – £4.98
- Ruse, PC – £9.98. Registers on Steam.
