Levine would rather show BioShock on Vita than talk about it

Ken Levine has told Joystiq that when it comes to discussing a BioShock title on Vita, he would rather show the game running on the handheld than talk about it.

Speaking with the site at GDC, Levine reiterated that the Vita project is "something completely different that we're crafting" and "not BioShock Infinite ported to the Vita."

As far as when we can expect the game to be revealed to the panting masses, that's still up in the air.

"We're trying to figure that [announcement timing] out," he said. "I ideally wouldn't have talked about the Vita game when I did. It was understandably important that, you know, Sony wanted us to share that information.

"I'd much rather come out with, 'Hey! Here it is.' Because what I describe is not really meaningful, it's what the experience is and what people perceive [from] the experience."

Levine also touched upon the Sony-created gaff that BioShock Infinite would contain a "special" Move peripheral, stating he doesn't fault the firm for the error, as the games industry's "big with lots of moving parts."

"My understanding of what happened with that was some marketing person at Sony said, 'Oh, I think there's a Move peripheral for this' and they put it out there and we saw it and were just like, 'Uh. Really? We never heard of that before," he said adding that such errors tend to "happen a lot."

"When you have these giant games, there's so many people involved. I've never had a lot of experience with Sony before. I've never really had a lot of direct contact with them, but they've been really terrific with us and have given us a ton of support.

"They've been really sweet to us, but [the special Move device' listing] was a complete surprise to us when we saw that."

Infinite launches October 16 in the US and October 19 in Europe.
