Level-5 expects to make 20 announcements at Vision in August

Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino has said the firm expects to mark around 20 announcements during its annual Level-5 Vision press conference this year.

Last year it announced 10.

Speaking in a February interview with Nikkei Trendy, Hinos wouldn't go into specifics, but said to expect some mobile content in there along with something more surprising than last year's Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney announcement.

He also noted that another collaboration similar to Ni no Kuni with Studio Ghibli will be revealed as well. These announcements could include updates on previous titles already announced, notes Andriasang.

During the presser, Level-5 will also discuss more on its overseas plans pertaining to the office in California it opened last year. Hino said the North American studio is planning its own titles, which be developed in the country.

"We have five staff members at present," said Hino. "Titles that are being planned in the North American office are being developed in that region. The office staff is mostly Japanese, but we're using a style of development where we collaborate with local staff, so I believe we'll be able to make something that matches the North American market well."

Hino said to expect the press conference to be held around August.
