Len Wiseman to direct Gears of War movie

According to this Variety report, Die Hard 4 director Len Wiseman has signed up to make the Gears of War movie.
A new script's been written for the film, which was originally planned for a summer 2009 release, but is now likely to be delayed due to the project's various hiccups.
