Legend of Zelda 30th anniversary amiibo will rain down goodies in Breath of the Wild

Another reason to splurge on amiibo.
The Legend of Zelda 30th anniversary amiibo are in stores now and if you needed a reason to justify your purchase, Nintendo are more than happy to give you one.
Each of the 30th anniversary amiibo will be compatible with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo made the announcement over on Tumblr as well as detailing the functionality of each amiibo.
- 8-bit Link will reward you with a random number of barrels. You might find rupees inside too!
- Ocarina of Time Link will reward you with a random amount of meat
- Toon Link will reward you with a random amount of fish
- Wind Waker Zelda will reward you with a random selection of plants
There's also a chance to get a treasure chest containing a rare item.
Presumably there'll be a limit on how often you can use each amiibo to prevent you going mental and hoarding tons of meat, but the finer details have yet to be confirmed.
