Learn how to do a little arrow over a U thing so we can talk about Abzû

Abzû is the first game from Giant Squid, the studio founded by Journey and Flower art director Matt Nava.

Boasting a score from Journey composer Austin Wintory, the diving game is looking very special indeed.

We don't actually know what Abzû is about, except that you will encounter creatures and uncover secrets as you explore the depths of the ocean.

"The game draws inspiration from a deep, innate story that we all carry in our collective subconscious, a universal origin myth that resonates across cultures. As such, the name ABZÛ references a concept from the oldest Mesopotamian mythology: it is the combination of two ancient words Ab, meaning ocean, and Zû, meaning to know. Essentially, ABZÛ is the ocean of wisdom," according to Giant Squid.

I wish to swim in this ocean, and perhaps it will impart to me the wisdom of the keyboard shortcut for "û", as right now copy paste is getting a hell of a work out. Visit the game's website for pretty much no further information. We know it's coming to PS4, but other platforms are up in the air until we hear from publisher 505 Games.
