Larger HD PS3 SKU to replace 80Gb version, says rumour

Probably bollocks, but inevitable chatter nonetheless. With rumours of the demise of America's 80Gb PS3 SKU circulating heavily last week as the result of a "leaked internal memo" from US retailer Best Buy, it was only a matter of time before the internet ran away with itself and started predicting a 120-160Gb replacement.

Sony’s said nothing yet. And we can’t contact anyone to ask, because we haven’t launched.

European gamers can only buy a 40Gb SKU after the 60Gb version was phased out, so all this is pretty much Greek at the moment. We’ll be able to talk to SCEE in an official capacity next week.
