L4D2 updates: Uncrownable Witch, user created Mutations, Hard Eight

Valve has updated L4D2's Mutation mode this week with Hard Eight, which throws eight special Infected at players, thus the name of the mode.

But wait - there's more.

The L4D2 team has also played around with Realism Versus making the Witch special Infected uncrownable.

"While the really short respawn interval was interesting, it removed our ability to increase difficulty in other ways," said Valve over on the L4D blog. "Today's update includes one of those other ways, the uncrownable Witch. Not only is she deadly in Realism but now she is also uncrownable. Good luck with that."

Good luck, indeed.

Valve also said it will soon start adding Mutations created by community members. The next Mutation will be based on Raymond Nondorf's mod and after that, Valve will start picking other user created Mutations.

Nondorf has posted a tutorial on how you can make one yourself through here. To make a Mutation, you will need to "build and test your mutation on the PC" but Valve pans to release them on "both PC and Xbox 360".
