Kojima would like an external studio remake the original Metal Gear Solid using the Fox engine

Hideo Kojima would like an external studio to remake the original Metal Gear Solid using the Fox engine. Speaking in a roundtable interview at E3 2013 attended by GameReactor, Kojima said he is looking for a third-party team to do the work. He said some of the mechanics would need updating, but it would be exciting for him, especially after Silicon Knights' Gamecube adaption Twin Snakes and HD releases of the original game turned out well. That's all he really said about it, but you can read more regarding the roundtable through the link.
