Koelnmesse hits capacity for gamescom, entrances closed

Koelnmesse organisers have confirmed to Joystiq that the venue has hit capacity this afternoon in the third and penultimate public day of gamescom.

The venue's capacity, according to KM when it spoke to the site, is 62,000, with entrances closed off around the venue.

We were sent this image by @jonfaec on Twitter earlier, just showing how congested it was inside.

The second photo we got, via @KyozoKicks, showed a massive crowd outside the Messe's southern entrance, leading out from the Messe/Deutz train station. There's a video below.

For the record, we never experienced anything remotely like this on the Wednesday, which was a trade-only day, and Thursday - the show's first public day - when we were at the Messe. If you are there, please stay safe.
