K&L2: Dog Days demo stats show loads of killing, theft

kane&lynch2

IO Interactive has released some statistics for the Kane & Lynch 2 demo on Xbox 360.

The demo's so exclusive, it requires a special token. Still, despite only token bearers getting in on it, the numbers are very interesting indeed.

To date, more than 27 billion dollars haven been stolen through heists, which rounds out to 161 million dollars laundered every hour. In real world dollars, that's equivalent to "JP Morgan’s 2009 annual staff compensation".

More than 116,000 players were killed in the act of pulling-off a heist, with only 8,000 of those kills made by undercover cops, meaning "you’re all a bloody bunch of untrustworthy crooks".

The demo arrives on PSN July 19 for PlayStation Plus members, and runs through July 27 from what we understand, so who knows what sorts of numbers PS3 folks will accrue.

We've yet to hear back about when the demo will be made available to those who don't have tokens, or plus accounts, but it is the weekend after all.

Kane & Lynch 2’s release was pulled forward a week, and will now drop on August 17 and 20 in the US and UK, respectively.
