Namco UK's new marketing director, Lee Kirton, has told VG247 that the firm is still aiming for a top five publisher position, saying the company still has a "host" of new games to show.

"Our goal is still to be a top five publisher," said the exec, referencing an aim announced by UK vice president John Galloway in 2009 to achieve the goal on a global level.

"The titles i'm working on include TDU2, Dr Kawashima Kinect, Yoostar 2, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, The Witcher 2, Earth Defense Force and Tekken X Streetfighter, along with a host of new titles soon to be announced."

Kirton has just assumed his new role as marketing director of Namco Bandai UK, overseeing all marketing and PR activity as well as working on third-party product deals.

He's a well-known figure in the UK trade, rising up through customer services, PR assistant, PR executive, PR manager and head of PR, before landing his previous role of marketing manager.

Despite a long rise to the top, though, Kirton's not jaded: "I’m excited and as passionate as ever," he said.
