  • Axes - Typically slow and heavy, Axes are great for dealing out both slash and blunt damage, although they don’t typically have fantastic durability values.
  • Bows - Simply put, Bows are the main form of ranged combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and are governed by Strength and Agility.
  • Daggers - Light and quick, Daggers are excellent for dealing out a variety of balanced attacks in quick succession, although they’re not good for defending yourself with.
  • Hunting Swords - Not so good for blunt damage, Hunting Swords excel at both stab and slash attacks, boasting decent defence and solid durability values.
  • Longswords - Just like Hunting Swords, Longswords are great for stab and slash attacks, and tend to have some of the best weapon defence values in Kingdom Come.
  • Maces - These weapons are good for pure blunt force attacks, and although they’re always heavy, Maces have great durability.
  • Polearms/Spears - They aren’t great for defending or durability, but Polearms and Spears are excellent at reaching out and stabbing an enemy from range.
  • Sabers - The Saber weapons tend to have fairly low durability, but they’re superior in both stabbing and slashing attacks.
  • Shortswords - The Shortswords in Kingdom Come tend to be light and quick, providing a decent defence value while also boasting powerful stabbing and slashing attacks.

Taking all these weapons into account, it’s up to you to decide which weapons suit you best. If you’d prefer crumbling the armor of your enemies, then you’ll want to go for weapons like Maces that have superior blunt attacks. If you’d rather be nimble and quick on the battlefield, then you’ll want to go for a Dagger or Shortsword.

Very often, the outcome of a combat enounter with an enemy can depend on which weapons you're both wielding. Say for example if an enemy has a strong but slow weapon like a hammer or axe, it might be worth equipping a quick weapon like a dagger or short sword so you can effectively dodge they slow attacks and leap in for a quick few hits. There might not be one definitive 'best' weapon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but there are a litany of weapons with which you can make work to your advantage.

How to Clean and Repair Weapons in Kingdom Come Deliverance

If you walk around with your weapons stained and bloodied, then your Charisma Skill with decrease, affecting your reputation in towns and settlements, and in turn affecting how well you can persuade people while talking to them. To counter this, all you have to do is head to a Blacksmith, and ask him to clean your weapons. Although this will cost you a bit of coin, it’s well worth keeping your equipment in a good overall condition.

If the Condition statistic of your equipped weapon reaches zero at any point while you’re playing Kingdom Come Deliverance, then the weapon will break, and it’ll be lost to you forever. To prevent this from happening, you can either head to the aforementioned Blacksmith and ask him to repair your sword, or you can use a Grindstone, increasing your Maintenance statistic and repairing your weapon. The better your Maintenance statistic, the more effectively you’ll be able to repair your weapons.
