King Arthur: The Druids expansion out now

king arthur

Paradox has released a 30 hour+ expansion for King Arthur: The Role Playing Game, and sent along a highly dramatic trailer to tempt you back to Britannia.

A digital-distribution exclusive, King Arthur: The Druids requires the core King Arthur game, but adds a couple of new features in the form of a sandbox mode and extended diplomacy play.

The latter involves balancing the needs of other warlords, outlaw factions, the Sidhe, religious leaders and even - my word! - ladies.

The expansion's plot takes place during the events of the core game, and concerns the machinations of the Welsh King Ryons, apparently dead keen on the Old Faith. From what I understand this means fun-lovin', nature-friendly sickles and wicker men, although I am uncertain whose side gets them - in either sense.

Paradox recently announced the original game is to see a sequel. In the meantime, the expansion will tide you over; see the trailer below.
