Kim: Xbox Live mobile is a matter of "when"

xboxlivelogo

Xbox boss Shane Kim has told Kikizo that Live is still on the way to mobile devices. Just in case you thought he'd forgotten.

"For us, it's a matter of focusing on 'when', because if we chased after a mobile or handheld opportunity, we would not have the resources and ability to do things like... Project Natal," said the exec.

"So we've chosen to focus on the living room experience from a hardware standpoint, if you will, but we're building a service in Live that will... will extend to other platforms. No question about it."

Microsoft announced Live Anywhere a million billion years ago. Actually, it was in 2006, but that's in the same ballpark.
